These Terms govern your use of ReadBook (the “Service”), an online reading application operated by ReadBook. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
ReadBook lets you read English-language texts with inline Russian translations, look up words, track your vocabulary, and review words you are learning. You upload your own texts; you are responsible for having the right to use any content you upload.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- The Service offers a free trial with usage limits and paid subscription tiers (Basic, Plus, Pro) that increase those limits and unlock additional features.
- Paid subscriptions are activated manually — contact us at [email protected] to upgrade. We collect payment out of band and activate your plan once payment is confirmed.
- Subscriptions last for the agreed period. To extend, contact us before the period ends.
- Prices may change; we will give notice before any change applies to you.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful;
- resell, scrape, or abuse the Service or its translation pipeline;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its software and design are owned by ReadBook. Content you upload remains yours; you grant us a limited license to process and store it solely to provide the Service to you.
6. Disclaimers and liability
Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors; the Service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadBook is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
